Neil Shubin is a Paleontologist and evolutionary biologist from the University of Chicago. Shubin is best known for his co-discovery of Tiktaalik roseae with Ted Daeschler and Farish Jenkins. He is also a popular science writer. One of his books ‘Your Inner Fish’ was adapted as a TV show by PBS. He has been a great collaborator with Jose Luis Gomez-Skarmeta and their shared projects have been extremely fruitful (Check the papers published together: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4311833/ https://www.nature.com/articles/s41588-018-0080-5)
Shubin accepted to give a talk at CABD hosted by Jose Luis Gomez-Skarmeta. He also met students and post docs and spare some of his time telling us about his scientific journey.

Shubin’s enthusiasm about evolution, paleontology and science are motivating for anyone that contacts with him, specially evolutionary scientists in training!
