Lorena Buono, a PhD candidate, and Juan Ramon Martinez-Morales collaborated with the Centanin’s lab fromon the study of adult stem cells (aSCs) in medaka. These cells are able to keep the homeostasis and to promote the continuous organism growth. In this project the team described that separated stem cells populations are needed for homeostasis and growth. This work was based on an exhaustive lineage tracing in the medaka fish gill and was recently published in elife!
