On November 27th, Pedro Duque the Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain visited the unit of excellence of Maria de Maeztu-GEM at the CABD . Pedro Duque together with Lina Galvez from Conserjeria de Conocimiento de Andalucia visited the laboratories, including the aquatic facility. They had the chance of meeting the principal investigators as well as the junior committee, which includes PhD students, Post docs and technicians.

Pedro Duque’s visit had a very positive feedback. The research developed in this department was recognized to be of high quality and scientific impact. This visit gave visibility to the GEM department at the CABD, the only biomedical Maria de Maeztu Unit in Andaluzia.
