Juan Tena and Jose Luis Gomez-Skarmeta from the CABD and our unit recently published a Nucleic Acids Research paper in collaboration with the Gomez-Diaz’s lab. In this project, the authors characterized the chromatin accessibility in Plasmodium falciparum, the parasite causing human malaria. Elena Gomez-Diaz and her team are experts in the malaria field and the members of the Gomez-Skarmeta contributed to the thorough genomic analysis of the P. falciparum.
